T 450 Electromechanical Turnstile
Application
The T 450 can be reliably used even in crowded areas such as public transportation zones, universities, banks, business centers, amusement parks, museums, gyms, and concert entrances.
Material
The T 450 tripod turnstile is manufactured as standard from 304 stainless steel. All arms and the body are made of 304 stainless steel, while the hub part is made of aluminum material. The T 450 is a single-leg twin turnstile used in spaces where two narrow turnstiles cannot fit and when a more cost-effective solution is required. Optionally, it can be produced from 316 stainless steel sheet. The main mechanism inside the turnstile is produced using Makim’s proprietary precision casting technology at its production facilities. This ensures durability against impacts and guarantees long-term, trouble-free operation. Thanks to control boards developed by Makim engineers, the T 450 turnstile can operate in many different modes and connections.
General Use
The T 450 turnstile allows for bi-directional passage. Any type of access control device, such as card readers, fingerprint scanners, or facial recognition systems, can be easily integrated into the turnstile via dry contact. When access is granted, the turnstile lock is released, and users can pass through by gently pushing the arms. Once the arms complete a full rotation, the turnstile locks again. If passage does not occur within 15 seconds after unlocking, the turnstile gives an audible warning and then relocks. On both sides of the T 450 turnstile, there are LED lights displaying the direction of passage in the form of a red cross and green arrow. More than 30 passages per minute can be achieved through the turnstile.
Security
In case of a power outage, the arms of the T 450 turnstile allow free passage in both directions. Optionally, a drop-arm mechanism can be provided. In this system, if the turnstile receives an emergency signal from the building system during a power cut, the arm drops, fully opening the passageway. This allows for quick evacuation of the area when necessary.
