T 345 Electromechanical Turnstile
Application
T 345 can be seamlessly implemented even in crowded areas such as public transportation zones, universities, banks, business centers, amusement parks, museums, gyms, and concert entrances.
Material
The T 345 tripod turnstile is manufactured as standard from 304 stainless steel. All arms and the body are made of 304 stainless steel, and the hub section is made of aluminum. Designed as a cost-effective, single-leg turnstile, the T 345 is suitable for use in narrow spaces. Optionally, it can be manufactured from 316 stainless steel sheet. The main mechanism inside the turnstile is produced in Makim's manufacturing facilities using special precision casting technology. This ensures the system’s resistance to impacts and long-term, trouble-free operation. Thanks to the control boards developed by Makim engineers, the T 345 turnstile can operate in many different modes and configurations.
General Use
The T 345 allows for bi-directional passage. Any type of access control device such as card readers, fingerprint readers, or facial recognition systems can be easily integrated via dry contact. When access is granted, the turnstile unlocks and passage is allowed by gently pushing the arms. Once a full rotation is completed, the turnstile re-locks. If no passage occurs within 15 seconds after unlocking, the turnstile gives an audible warning and then re-locks. On both sides of the T 345, LED indicators in the form of a red cross and green arrow show the direction of passage. More than 30 people per minute can pass through the turnstile.
Security
In the event of a power outage, the arms of the T 345 turnstile allow free passage in both directions. Optionally, a drop-arm mechanism can be provided. In this configuration, when power is cut and a signal is sent from the emergency system to the turnstile board, the arm is dropped, fully clearing the passageway. This enables fast evacuation of the premises when necessary.
