T 250 A2 Electromechanical Turnstile

T 250 A2 is one of the most widely recognized basic turnstile models used to control access points around the world. Thanks to the robust mechanism developed by Makim, the T 250 A2 turnstile can be used reliably for many years, especially in areas with high pedestrian traffic.

Application
It can be seamlessly used even in crowded environments such as public transportation areas, universities, banks, business centers, amusement parks, museums, gyms, and concert entrances.

Material
The T 250 A2 tripod turnstile is manufactured from 304-grade stainless steel as standard. All arms and the body are made of stainless steel, and the hub is made of aluminum. Unlike the base model, the T 250 A2 features an angled top cover. The main internal mechanism is produced at Makim’s production facilities using special precision casting technology. This ensures the system’s resistance to impacts and guarantees long-term, trouble-free operation. With control boards developed by Makim engineers, the T 250 A2 turnstile can operate in many different modes and connection types.

General Use
Bidirectional passage is possible through the T 250 A2 turnstile. Any access control device, such as card readers, fingerprint or facial recognition systems, can be easily integrated via dry contact. When access is granted, the lock is released, and a gentle push on the arms allows passage. Once the arms complete a full rotation, the turnstile locks again. If no passage occurs within 15 seconds after unlocking, the turnstile first gives an audible warning and then re-locks. On both sides of the T 250 A2 turnstile, there are LED indicators displaying a red cross and green arrow to show the direction of passage. The turnstile allows more than 30 passages per minute.

Security
In the event of a power failure, the arms of the T 250 A2 turnstile allow free passage in both directions. Optionally, a drop-arm mechanism can be provided. In this configuration, if an emergency signal is sent to the turnstile control board during a power cut, the arm drops to fully clear the passage. This makes it possible to evacuate the area quickly when necessary.
